Wind power is it viable?

As part of Pickens Plan we will develope our wind corridor in the United States, we have massive amounts of untapped wind power just waiting to be used.

I do not see why we have not developed this yet perhaps it was because our former politicians owned massive amounts of Oil stock, it is great to see President Obama is going to invest over 150 billion in Alternative energy.
